Clarendon - Type Specimen Book

My design uses the journey of the paper making process to tell the story of Clarendon. The gears and rollers in the paper mill inspired me to use the "o" and "l" from the font to create the illustration of the process. The use of layering transparent paper is to show the similarity to gears and rollers working in unison.

During the Industrial era, the printing and paper making technology advanced. Posters and newspaper could be produced in larger quantities. Clarendon became popular because it make a striking word or line either in a paragraph or title page, without overwhelming the other lines.
